Do you take Insurance?

Rehabilates is a fee for service business. Medical Insurance is not accepted. This works to your advantage because it allows Hana to spend an hour one on one with you, and to be able to treat multiple body parts/conditions for as long as you both feel is necessary. When going through insurance one is limited to the body part prescribed by the doctor, and to a certain number of visits in physical therapy, which may not be enough to achieve your goals.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Check made out to Hana Liebowitz Levin, Credit Card, Cash, Venmo, HSA card

Where are you located?

Main Line Location - Hana's home studio in Wynnewood, PA

Center City Philadelphia: Star Pilates - 2043 Locust Street Philadelphia PA unit 2

What is your policy on cancellations?

24 hours notice for intentional cancellation is required. If an emergency does not allow you to keep your appointment, we ask that you call when you can. If you do not come or call, we will automatically bill you for half the session (depending on the package).  If you arrive late, you will get whatever time is left in your session.

What should I wear to my Rehabilates sessions?

It is important to wear lose, comfortable clothing (something you would exercise in) that makes it easy to fully expose the problematic parts of your body. Hana will often work directly on the skin at the area, and may do some techniques which require contact with the skin surrounding the area.

After the first visit Hana will tell you if there is something you should wear each visit as needed.

Generally the exercises on the pilates machines are performed barefoot (unless you have a condition with prevents this).

What can I expect in a typical Rehabilates visit?

First, Hana will re-assess you each visit to make sure everything she has planned is still appropriate for your symptoms to maximize your session. This can involve a physical re-evaluation of specific movements or positions, or manual re-assessment of strength, range of motion, flexibility, etc.

Manual Therapy is always performed before therapeutic exercise to make sure that the muscles, joints, ligaments, and other tissues involved are functioning at their optimal level and that the client has decreased pain, before challenging the body.

Other manual techniques may be performed as needed including graston technique and kinesiotaping.

Therapuetic exercise and neuro muscular re-education are then performed with specific tailored instructions and Hana right by your side to ensure optimal execution of exercise. This can include work with weights, pilates reformer, pilates chair, pilates barrel, on a mat, or on the treatment table, depending on your injury and comfort level.

At the end of the session Hana will assign you home exercises and then send you an e-mail with the specific instructions and pictures to go with them so you don’t forget! Each week exercises will be progressed or modified as needed.

What is Graston Technique?

The Graston Technique® incorporates an evidence-based form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively detect and treat scar tissue and restrictions that affect normal function.

What is Kinesiotaping?

The Kinesio Taping® Method is a definitive rehabilitative taping technique. It designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints, without restricting the body’s range of motion. It also provides extended soft tissue manipulation to prolong the benefits of manual therapy administered within the clinical setting. Latex-free and wearable for days at a time, Kinesio® Tex Tape is safe for populations ranging from pediatric to geriatric, and successfully treats a variety of orthopedic, neuromuscular, neurological and other medical conditions.

What is SFMA?

The SFMA is the movement based diagnostic system, designed to clinically assess 7 fundamental movement patterns in those with known musculoskeletal pain. The assessment provides an efficient method to systematically find the cause of symptoms, not just the source, by logically breaking down dysfunctional patterns and diagnosing their root cause as either a mobility problem or a stability/motor control problem.
